Nigerian players have been ranked 10th on the list of Premier League goals scored since the competition started in 1992.
According to the list compiled by EnglishPremierLeague.com, Nigeria finished highest of all the African countries with 471 goals scored by Nigerian players ahead of 14th-placed Ivory Coast (321) and 15th-placed Senegal (314).
The period covered for the Premier League goals scored by players from various countries was from the 1992/93 till the end of 2017.
Nigerian players have undoubtedly made her mark on the Premier League and that was further highlighted by the country finishing ahead of great footballing nations like Brazil, Argentina, Italy and Germany on the list.
But they still have a long way to go to usurp the top three of England (10,826 goals), France (1,477 goals) and Republic of Ireland (945 goals).
The quintet of Burundi, Estonia, Gambia, Sierra Leone and St Kitts and Nevis are last on the list with one goal apiece.
