Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will feature for the team in the last warm up game ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Rohr and his wards will face Czech Republic in Austria on June 6 as they continue preparation for the tournament.
The Franco-German tactician spoke about Ndidi during his post-match press conference after the team suffered a 2-1 defeat to England in the game played at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
In his words, Rohr said: “We followed a plan made for his recovery by Leicester. We didn’t think it was the right game for him to return. But he should be ready for the next game.”
Wilfred Ndidi has been injured since the 5-0 loss to Crystal Palace in April while he was playing in the colours of Leicester City.
