Nabil Fekir Expects Lyon Exit Amid Interest From European Big Wigs

English giants Chelsea and Liverpool are ready to swoop for Frenchman Nabil Fekir as the world cup winner reportedly expects to leave Lyon next summer.

According to L’Equipe, Fekir will not renew his contract with the club as he approaches the final year of his deal.

Chelsea are believed to be keen on the attacker as they look to build on Maurizio Sarri’s incredible start at Stamford Bridge.

While Liverpool remain interested in the versatile poacher after a move to Anfield collapsed earlier this year.

Fekir who scored 23 goals in 39 matches last season has struck six times already this term.

His ability to play as a No 10, a winger and a striker makes him an attractive option to top Premier League clubs.

Bayern Munich are also believed to be keeping tabs on him as they prepare to lose veterans Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben in 2019.

But Fekir would reportedly fancy trying his luck in England, where the likes of his French compatriots Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kante, Hugo Lloris and Olivier Giroud currently ply their trade.

French national team boss Didier Deschamps is a big fan and believes Fekir would shine in any team, previously saying: “Fekir is a player with great potential.

“I consider that he can bring us something different. He plays in a different role to the others. He can score and set up others to score as well.

Fekir is out of contract in June 2020.
