Moyes Earns First Point As Hammers’ Manager

New West Ham manager David Moyes has secured his first point as manager after his team battled back from a shocking start to play 1-1 with visitors Leicester City at home.

The Hammers made a bad start in what was Moyes’ second game and were punished by Marc Albrighton’s 8th minute opener but credit to the London side who bounced back into the game and should have equalised with some gilt edge opportunities. Their dominance however paid off through Cheikh Kouyate’s header from Manuel Lanzini’s corner kick on the stroke of halftime.

West Ham continued from where they left off but struggled to break down the immediate past champions as both sides settled for the 1-1 result in the end

The draw took Leicester City above Newcastle United into 11th place with 14 points from 13 games while West Ham United stay in the last relegation place with 10 points though the they have the same point tally with West Brom, which is the team currently occupying the last relegation place.
