Arsenal have been handed a tough draw after they were paired with former European champions AC Milan in the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League (UEL).

Milan will host Arsenal in the first leg at the San Siro on March 8 before the return leg scheduled for the Emirates Stadium on March 15.

The aforementioned clash was the standout tie after draw was held at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon on Friday morning.

In the pick of the other ties, favourites Atletico Madrid will face Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow while Borussia Dortmund battle RB Salzburg for a place in the quarter-finals.

The first leg and second leg ties will take place on March 8 and 15 respectively.
