Ligue 1 Review: Monaco Strengthen Hold On Second Spot With Dijon Thrashing

French champions AS Monaco have strengthened their grip on second spot on the Ligue 1 table following their convincing 4-0 victory over Dijon at home in a Matchday 26 clash on Friday night.

Senegal international forward Keita Balde gave the hosts a first half lead before further strikes from Fabinho (penalty), Rony Lopes and Kamil Glik in the second half propelled the champions to an easy win.

The victory takes Monaco (56 points) four points clear of Olympique Marseille (52 points) and within nine points of leaders Paris Saint Germain (PSG 65 points) in the faltering race for the league title while Dijon stay in 12th spit with 31 points.
