Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has disclosed that the upcoming league clash with last season’s Champions League finalists Liverpool will pose more problem than what was obtainable with Manchester United.
Leon Balogun and his Brighton team will play Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday buoyed by the surprising 3-2 win they recorded over Manchester United at the Amex Stadium on Sunday evening.
The newly signed Brighton and Hove Albion centre back came on for his debut as a 20th minute substitute for the injured Lewis Dunk.
He joined the Seagulls from German Bundesliga outfit Mainz 05 on a free transfer earlier this summer.
While speaking about the upcoming Liverpool match via Daily Mail, Leon Balogun said: Liverpool is going to be completely different.”
“It is going to be a lot quicker and a lot more intense.
“They [my teammates] told me this is always the kind of game you play against United. They like to slow it down a little bit sometimes.” He concluded.
Leon Balogun was recently part of the Super Eagles that crashed out of this year’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia in the group stage.
The 30-year-old featured in all the three Group D games as Nigeria failed to progress into the knockout stage after one win and two defeats.
