A first half freekick from Lionel Messi for his 24th league goal of the season proved to be the only goal of the game as Barcelona secure three crucial points in the quest for a league title.

The win takes Barcelona to 69 points and eight clear of Atletico Madrid (61 points) with 33 points still up for grabs between now and the end of the season.
