Kanu Praises NFF For Eagles Friendlies (Audio)

Former Super Eagles captain Kanu Nwankwo has showered praises on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for organising World Cup warm up games ahead of this summer’s tournament.

The former Arsenal and Inter Milan striker made this known during a recent interview in Port Harcourt when the Super Eagles played out a 1-1 draw with DR Congo at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

When asked about the Super Eagles preparation for this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia, Kanu praised the NFF for lining up several friendlies to help the team prepare well for the tournament in comparison with what preparation was like during his playing days with the team.

In his words, the two-time African footballer of the Year said: “It’s much much better compared to when we do play.”

Gernot Rohr and his players have featured in five World Cup friendlies with a return of one win, one draw and three defeats.
