Kano Pillars Replace Ibrahim Musa As Head Coach

Kano Pillars Football Club have appointed former flying Eagles coach, Kabiru Baleria as the interim head coach of the club with immediate effect pending the appointment of a substantive Technical Adviser.

According to the Media Officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, the appointment of Kabiru Baleria followed the expiration of the contract of the club’s technical adviser Ibrahim A. Musa.

The Media Officer said the management of the club under the leadership of Alhaji Tukur Babangida charged the interim coach to work closely with other members of the technical crew and club’s supporting staff in carrying out his duties effectively.

The management of the club has the confidence that Kabiru Baleria would use his wealth of experience to protect the club’s reputation as well as come up with new ideas that would move the club forward for the period he is going to handle the team, Malikawa said.

Melikawa pointed out that the new technical adviser would be appointed by the management of the club in due course.

He also maintained that five new players which include, Surajoddeen Ayele, Sunday Chinedu, Augustine Igenepo, Jeffrey Essi and Obaleke Thomas from Nasarawa United, Kwara United, Niger Tornadoes and Crown football clubs have reached advanced stages in negotiations with them ahead of the new season.

Plans are also in the works to promote two or three players from the feeder team to the senior team before the commencement of 2018/2019 NPFL season.

The Sai Masu Gida will resume training on Thursday Morning at the Sani Abacha Stadium bringing an end to their two weeks break.
