Hennessey Extends Crystal Palace Contract

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey has signed a new three-year contract at the London club until 2021.

The Welsh international has become an important part of the team since joining from newly promoted Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2014.

Since his move to Selhurst Park, Hennessy has made 106 appearances for the Eagles.

He played his part by keeping seven clean sheets in 27 matches last season as Palace finished in 11th spot despite starting with seven successive league defeats.

On his new deal, the 31-year-old said: “I’m really happy to commit my future to the club.

“I’ve always said how much I enjoy playing football here and the way we ended last season shows what we’re capable of achieving as a team.

“Now I just want to concentrate on preparing for the new season and play my part in helping the club push on to the next level.” He concluded.
