Heartland Rising Star Eyes U20 Call Up

Heartland marksman, Francis Momoh has declared readiness to star for Nigeria U20 team, the Flying Eagles adding that it will be a dream come true to done the green white green of Nigeria.

Francis Momoh who was the highest goalscorer for his team Heartland in the NNL and contributed immensely to their promotion by banging 11 goals for the side in all competitions last season truly is a youngster to look out for. Having played 5 matches this season and missing games due to injuries, Momoh has contributed immensely by being part of the buildup to some of the goals scored by his team.

Momoh who is being monitored by the technical team of the U20 had this to say if he gets an invitation; “It will be a dream come true to done the green white green of Nigeria. If  an invitation to the U20 camp comes, I’ll make good use of the opportunity. As we know there are many talents in the country, so if anyone has the opportunity to represent Nigeria, the individual should give a good account of himself or else the opportunity will be given to another person”.

Momoh who started out  with Amateur side Divine Praise Football Club of Lagos and presently on loan with Heartland football club has attracted suitors from within and outside the country with his representative saying when the time is right Momoh will definitely make a move.

The Nigerian under 20 side (Flying Eagles) are to play either Sierra Leone or Guinea Bissau in the upcoming African under 20 Nations Cup qualifiers.

The Flying Eagles were given a pass to the next round, which is expected to kick off in April 2018.
