HANDBALL: FCT U21 Males Earn First Win At The National U18 and U21 Handball Championships

The FCT U21 Male Handball team got their first win on the third day action in the ongoing National U18 and U21 Handball Championships when they defeated academy side Future Pro 40-29 at Rowe Park, Yaba, Lagos.

In other matches decided in the U21 Male category, Lagos inflicted a first tournament defeat on Kwara in a keenly contested encounter which ended 31-25 in favour of the hosts.

Bayelsa showed remarkable resilience to hold on for a thin 26-24 victory over Nasarawa to record a maiden win at the championships.

In the U21 Female category, Lagos routed Future Pro 50-18 while the Lagos U18 male team comprehensively crushed opponents Mind Scope 55-19 in a good day on the field for the hosts.

Wednesday’s fixtures will see Future Pro take on Nasarawa and FCT square up against Bayelsa in the U21 Men category while Mindscope tackle Kogi in the U18 Male category with the day’s last bit of action pitting Kwara against FCT in the U21 Female category.
