ITF Announces Registration And Withdrawal Deadlines For World Tennis Tour Which Begins In Abuja

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has released the entry and withdrawal deadlines for players interested in participating in the ITF World Tennis Tour which makes its annual 3-week berth at the National Tennis Centre in Abuja in April.

The ITF World Tennis Tour comprises three events – the Tombim Abuja Open, the Dayak Tennis Championships and the GSL Open and would run from 8 to 28 April, 2019 with players from all over the world competing for a total of $75,000 in prize money in addition to vital ATP and ITF ranking points.

According to guidelines released by the ITF, players will have until 14:00 GMT on Thursday, 21 March to enter for the Tombin Abuja Open with the withdrawal deadline set for Tuesday, 26 March for the first of the events. 

For the second event in the series, the entry deadline has been set for 14:00 GMT on Thursday, 28 March for players looking to participate at the Dayak Tennis Championships. Players will have until Tuesday, 2 April to withdraw from the event.

For the GSL Open, which is the third and final event in the series, the ITF has set 14:00GMT Thursday, 4 July as the entry deadline for players while Tuesday, 9 April is the withdrawal deadline.

The ITF World Tennis Tour will serve off with the Tombim Abuja Open from 8-14 April, followed by the Dayak Tennis Championships from 15-21 with the GSL Open bringing the series to a close from 21 to the 28 April.

Each tournament offers a total prize-money of $25,000 with 32 players competing in the singles while the doubles have a main draw size of 16.
