Gudjohnsen Jr. Signs For Real Madrid

The son of Iceland football legend Eidur Gudjohnsen, Lucas Andri Gudjohnsen has signed for European champions Real Madrid.

Former Chelsea and Barcelona striker enjoyed an illustrious career at both club and national team level.

He also played for French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur.

Lucas Andri Gudjohnsen, 16, who is also a striker, joins the Los Merengues from Catalan club Espanyol.

He made the announcement via his Instagram page said: “Very excited and pleased to announce that I have signed with Real Madrid! Looking forward to the future.”

Eidur Gudjohnsen scored 95 goals in 369 games for both Chelsea (255 games) and Barcelona (114 games).

The 39-year-old scored 26 goals in 88 games for Iceland and also featured in the tiny country’s first major tournament, 2016 European Championship.
