Nigeria’s U23 male national handball team, Monday, fell to a second defeat in three games as they were beaten 27-19 by Bulgaria at the IHF Emerging Nations Tournament currently ongoing in Georgia.

Nigeria had lost 14-24 in their first game in Group B against hosts Georgia before playing out a thrilling 31-31 draw with Ireland in their second match.

The U23 had targeted a win over Bulgaria in what was a must-win game for them but ultimately, they fell short against a vastly superior opposition who made their experience count in the second half.
