Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt have both booked spots in the German Cup semi-final after their respective last eight victories over VFL Wolfsburg and Mainz 05 respectively.

Eintracht Frankfurt recovered from the weekend’s shocking 3-0 loss at Augsburg in the Bundesliga with a convincing 3-0 win over 10-man Mainz 05 at home while Guido Burgstaller’s 10th minute strike was enough to give Schalke 04 a 1-0 win over VFL Wolfsburg at home.

Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt have now joined Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen in the semis after Tuesday’s wins over Paderborn and Werder Bremen respectively.

The semi-final draw will take place on the 11th of February, 2018.
