Fulham Complete Fabri Transfer From Besiktas

Newly promoted Premier League side Fulham have signed Spanish goalkeeper Fabricio ‘Fabri’ Agosto from Besiktas in Turkey.

The 30-year-old teams up with the London club after putting pen to paper on a three-year contract in a reported £5m deal.

Fabri has the option of a further 12 months in his contract.

He’s not new to the Fulham coaching crew having worked with goalkeeping coach Jose Sambade Carreira at Spanish outfit Deportivo La Coruna.

In his first interview as a Cottager, he told the club’s website that: “I’m happy to have the opportunity to be in the Premier League.”

Fabri joined Besiktas from Deportivo La Coruna in 2016 before helping the club to win the 2017 Turkish Super Lig title.

He conceded just 30 goals in 34 league appearances as Besiktaa finished fourth last season.

The Spaniard is expected to fight for the number one shirt with last season’s first-choice goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli and another new signing David Button, who joined from Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this month.
