FIFA Puskas Award: Scorpion Kick Reigns?

Oliver Giroud’s ‘scorpion kick’ strike has made the final 3 shortlist for the 2017 FIFA Puskas Award.

The Arsenal striker’s effort made the shortlist alongside goals from South Africa keeper Oscarine Masuluke and Venezuela’s Deyna Castellanos and South African keeper Oscarine Masuluke.

Giroud, 31, scored the goal in a 2-0 win over London rivals Crystal Palace in a Premier League game last season.

The winning goal for the award will be made known at the FIFA Awards ceremony later on October 23.

Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo will also compete for the Best Fifa Men’s Player shortlist on the same night.
