Delta Queens coach eye NWPL Super Four final.

Delta Queens coach Clifford Chukwuma has now set his sight on the final of the Nigeria Women Premier League Super Four after his side stunned defending champions 2-0 on Monday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.

Having gotten rid of the title favourites in their first hurdle, another stern test in Bayelsa Queens awaits Delta Queens on Tuesday as they look to take another step closer to the league title.

“If you win two games automatically you qualify for the final so we are aiming to try to win the next game (against Bayelsa Queens),” Chukwuma said. “We are really hungry, we are very determined, we want to win. I work hard and I pray. I believe God is always on my side.”

Chukwuma went on to appreciate the fans that were cheering for his team while they played against Rivers Angels. They had more backing than Rivers Angels in that respect.

“Yes we really appreciate the support and if you look at it, physically we were good enough, we were strong. I think defensively we were very strong.

“They (Rivers Angels) were not very strong in attack the way I look at it. They were not very aggressive in attack. They tried to build up slowly. Their build-up was slow so before they got to our defence, we were very organised,” Chukwuma explained to busybuddiesng.com.
