Chairman of the NFF technical committee, Sherif Inuwa Ahlan has confirmed that the fate of Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro will be determined by the Federal Government.

Peseiro, who recently led Nigeria to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nation, where the team lost 2-1 to Ivory Coast on Sunday, has come under heavy criticisms due to his poor tactics in the final.

It will also be noted that Peseiro’s contract ends after the AFCON 2023 event.

However, Ahlan in a chat with Prompt News, stated that the Federal Government determine whether Nigeria will renew or fire him.

“Peseiro is a national project, not only NFF project. Our duty is to recommend and forward to the Sports Ministry and whatever decision taken, our duty is to implement,” Inuwa told Prompt News.
