FA Cup Review: Manchester United Cruise Into Quarters Alongside Brighton And Southampton

Manchester United are through to the quarter-final of the FA Cup after they cruised to a 2-0 win at Huddersfield Town at the John Smith Stadium in their last 16 tie.

Romelu Lukaku was the hero for the Red Devils as he netted either side of the halftime interval to lead his team into the last eight.

Premier League sides Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion are also through to the quarters after respective wins over West Brom and Coventry City.

Southampton defeated relegation rivals West Brom 2-1 at the Hawthorns courtesy goals from Wesley Hoedt and Dusan Tadic while Salomon Rondon got the lone goal for the home side.

Brighton saw off Coventry City 3-1 to secure a quarter-final berth with debut goal from Jurgen Locadia in his first game for the club in addition to other strikes from Connor Goldson and Leonardo Ulloa.

In the final FA Cup tie played on Saturday, Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City played out a goalless draw meaning that both sides will have to negotiate a replay at the Liberty Stadium.
