Crowd Trouble Taints Heartland, Plateau United NPFL Clash (Photos)

Crowd trouble has been a big problem on the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) scene and it reared its ugly head again during Monday’s match between hosts Heartland and Plateau United.

The game ended 1-1 apiece with Tosin Omoyele’s late goal for the Nigerian champions canceling out Abiodun Thompson’s opener.

The disappointing scoreline from the Heartland fans’ end ignited the crowd trouble as they descended on both the match officials and the Plateau United contingent in what could best be described as a show of shame.
