Bundesliga Review: Leipzig And Dortmund Clash Ends In Score Draw As Both Sides Fail To Strengthen UCL Qualification Bid

RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund played out a 1-1 draw in the late German Bundesliga kickoff on Saturday as both clubs fail to press home their bid for top four and Champions League qualification for next season.

Leipzig drew the first blood in the 29th minute through Jean-Kevin Augustin before the in-form Marco Reus equalised for the visitors nine minutes later as both sides settled for a 1-1 scoreline at halftime.

Neither side could add to their tally after the interval with both teams losing further grounds in the race for the top four.

Dortmund (43 points) drop one place to 3rd spot with the draw while RB Leipzig (39 points) are further down in 6th place.

Schalke 04 had earlier taken the place of Dortmund in the top two following a 1-0 win over Hertha Berlin courtesy a Marko Pjaca strike.
