The Super Eagles of Nigeria have emerged as the youngest World Cup team ahead of next year’s tournament in Russia.

The Nigerian team with the average age of 24 years and 11 months is the youngest of all the qualified teams ahead of countries like Germany, England, Denmark, Senegal, France and Iran.

The Gernot Rohr-tutored team had earlier qualified for a 6th World Cup appearance with a 1-0 win over the Chipolopolo of Zambia last month courtesy an Alex Iwobi strike.
