Akwa United FC will officially unveil her newly signed players to the media community, fans and supporters of the club on Friday 4th January 2019.

The unveiling ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Nest of Champions.

The event will also feature the official presentation and rendition of the Club’s Anthem — GOD’S STRENGTH WE POSSESS TO STRIKE

At the end of the 2017/2018 season, the two-time Federation Cup Champions released some players and have now contracted top quality players from within and outside the country to strengthen the team for the new NPFL season.

Last season, the Promise Keepers finished in second position two points behind Lobi Stars.

Akwa United will begin their quest for a maiden NPFL title with a home fixture against El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri on Sunday 13th January, 2019.

In a related development, team Akwa United will on Sunday 6th January, 2019  worship at The Apostolic Church in Ukana Onuk in Essien Udim Local Government Area for a special Thanksgiving /Dedication Service.

The club will use the occasion to thank God for the 2018 NPFL season and also dedicate the 2019 season to GOD in prayer.
