The Nigerian female Yellow Greens won a bronze medal in cricket at the African Games 2023.
Yellow Greens, defeated their Ugandan counterparts in the third place match on Wednesday.
The team overcame their opponent by three wickets to finish on the podium.

Earlier on Wednesday Abayomi Adeyemi won three medals in the men’s 106kg in weightlifting.
The 21-year-old won two bronze medals and one silver to add the Nigeria’s medal haul.
Also, Desmond Akano won three medals in the men’s 96kg in weightlifting, clinching two silver and one bronze.
