NFF Sponsorship Deals In Jeopardy With FIFA Ban Looming

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is in serious danger of missing out on several sponsorship deals in the wake of FIFA’s threat to ban the country from football.

In a letter dated Tuesday August 14, the international football body gave Nigeria one week to resolve the ongoing crisis troubling the NFF or face a football ban.

While speaking with the busybuddies’ pidgin show on Bond 92.9fm, NFF marketing committee member Collins Udoh revealed that the football body is on the verge of loosing several sponsorship deals as a result of the aforementioned NFF Crisis, which emanated from two separate elections in 2014.

In his words, Colin Udoh said: “This na exclusive tori our deal with Nike still dey on top table because of all this wahala wey dey happen for the glass house.” (“This is an exclusive story, our deal with Nike is still on the table because of the ongoing crisis in the glass house.”)

“E even get one Telecommunication Company way wan sign with NFF way dey watch too, this thing dey cause bad market” (There’s one Telecommunication Company interested in signing a sponsorship deal with the NFF that’s observing too, this thing is causing a problem.”) He concluded.
