Manchester City have been dealt a blow after influential midfielder Kevin De Bruyne suffered an injury to his right knee during training in Wednesday.
According to the Premier League champions, the extent of the injury suffered by the 27-year-old is “not yet known”.
The Belgian star was the club’s player of the season after he led the Citizens to Premier League and Carabao Cup double last season.
He scored 12 goals and 21 assists for Manchester City.
The former Chelsea and VFL Wolfsburg man was a substitute in the club’s league opener at Arsenal on Sunday.
He was also part of the Belgium squad that finished third at the recently concluded FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
