Okagbare, Oduduru Headline 95-Man List For AAC In Asaba

Blessing Okagbare and Divine Oduduru are the leading names after the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) released a 95-man list of athletes for the 21st African Athletics Championship (AAC) in Asaba, Delta State.

Other notable names on the list of athletes for the championship scheduled to run from August 1st to 5th include 2018 Commonwealth Games women’s 100m hurdles gold medallist Tobi Amusan, women’s Long Jump title holder Ese Brume and former national men’s 100m champion.

Men’s High Jump specialist Michael Edwards also made the list after he was cleared to switch national allegiance from Great Britain to Nigeria.

South Africa are the defending champions following their win during the 2016 edition in Durban ahead of Kenya and Nigeria.

Team Nigeria would be hoping to move two places from 3rd to 1st position on home soil when hostilities begin on the 1st of August, 2018.
