Etebo Out Of Madrid Clash With Injury

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo will miss his Las Palmas side’s crucial Spanish La Liga clash with Real Madrid having failed to recover from the muscle injury that kept him out of the international break.

The same injury forced him to miss the recent international friendlies with Poland and Serbia.

His club manager, Paco Jimenez, has therefore omitted him from the list of 18 players called up for the game scheduled for the Estadio de Gran Canaria on Saturday.

Another Nigerian player, Emmanuel Emenike, will also miss out on the game with injury, while his compatriot Imoh Ezekiel has been included in the squad and is in line to play his third game for the club.

Etebo joined Las Palmas on a six-month loan deal from Portuguese outfit CD Feirense during the January transfer window and has featured in all the club’s games until now.
