Premier League Review: City Extend Lead As United Lose Further Grounds After Tottenham Defeat

Leaders Manchester City have extended their lead at the top of the table to 12 points after they defeated bottom club West Brom 3-0 in what was a week 25 Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Fernandinho gave the hosts a first half lead before further goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero compounded West Brom’s woes in the bid to beat the drop.

Manchester United have lost further grounds in the title race after they were easily beaten 2-0 by their hosts Tottenham Hotspur at the Wembley Stadium.

In the pick of the other games, Bournemouth produced one of the shock results of the season after they defeated champions Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge with goals from Callum Wilson, Junior Stanislas and Nathan Ake
