Banyana Banyana of South Africa head coach Desiree Ellis has declared that the team’s showdown in the 2024 Olympic Games final qualifying round fixture against the Super Falcons will be a ‘make or mar’ affairs.

Recall that South Africa made it through to the final qualifying round after beating Tanzania 4-0 on aggregate while the Super Falcons defeated Cameroon 1-0 on aggregate to set up this mouth-watering clash.

The two-legged match is slated for April 1-9, 2024.

Speaking after the game, Ellis stated that Bayana Bayana are capable of overcoming Nigeria and also called for early preparation for the team.

“It will be do or die (vs Nigeria),” Ellis declared after the game against Tanzania.
