Zidane Steps Down From Role As Real Madrid Manager

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has shockingly announced that he will be stepping down from his role at the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu with immediate effect.

The 45-year old led the Los Merengues to a third straight UEFA Champions League (UCL) title on Saturday only to reveal that he is stepping down five days later.

He made this known during a news conference at the Bernabeu Stadium as he stated that had “taken the decision not to continue next year”.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was also present at the news conference.

He leaves having sealed his status as the best Real Madrid manager in recent times with 3 UCL titles and 1 Spanish La Liga title since he became manager in January 2016.
