VIDEO: Watch Pope Francis Welcome Chapecoense Plane Crash Survivors To The Vatican

Pope Francis received Brazilian side Chapecoense to the Vatican on Wednesday, with two survivors of the plane crash in attendance.

Last November, Chapecoense’s flight to a Copa Sudamericana game crashed in the mountains of Colombia killing all but six person’s on board.

Jackson Follmann and Alan Ruschel, who were among the three players that survived the horrible incident was at the Vatican.

“I asked him [Pope Francis] to bless my rosary as I will get married soon,”

“He gave the blessing and so this will stay with me for the rest of my life.” Follman, who was the team’s goalkeeper and had part of his right leg amputated following injuries sustained from the crash, told reporters.

The Pope took pictures and gave special remarks to the team ahead of their fund raising charity match at the Stadio Olimpico against AS Roma on Friday.
