Victor Osimhen Scores Second Straight Hat-Trick For Napoli To Set Pulses Afire

Victor Osimhen has only gone and done it again, scoring a second consecutive hat-trick as Napoli walloped Serie C side Teramo 4-0 in a preseason friendly at the Stadio Teofilo Patini in Abruzzo on Friday.

The 23-year-old club and African record signing pilloried three goals in just eight minutes in his outing in Napoli colours against L’Aquila a week ago and while he took longer this time around, the outcome was similar as he continues to give Napoli fans cause for great optimism ahead of the new season.

Osimhen who was wearing the number 15 jersey took just four minutes to put Napoli ahead against the Italian third-tier side.

Hirving Lazano then doubled the lead for Gennaro Gattuso’s men with a stunning right footed effort ten minutes later.

The Nigerian completed his hat-trick with a quick fire second half brace four minutes apart, scoring in the 61st and 65th minutes before being subbed off to great applause in the 75th minute.

On the back of his showing just two games – albeit preparatory games against lower level opposition – into his Napoli career, Napoli fans will surely be impatient to see Osimhen in competitive action.

Manager Gattuso has called for fans to temper expectations and not put pressure on the Super Eagles striker, but Osimhen is surely making it harder for fans who must be beside themselves with joy at what they have witnessed in preseason so far.
