MFM FC super sub Adeniji Kabiru says he “made [him]self special” and proved a point to head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu after coming off the bench to bag a debut goal for the Lagos club.

Adeniji came off the bench in the 72nd minute and extended MFM’s lead over Kwara United three minutes later in their two nil victory over the Ilorin based side.

The elated striker told busybuddiesng.com that Ilechukwu had introduced him to the game with the instruction to prove himself and he was happy to have made the coach proud.

“I am very happy because I made myself special today, but all thanks to my coach, he introduced me to go and prove myself. I thank God I proved myself [and] I made my coach proud of me,” he said.
