Manchester United ended their pre-season tour with a 2-1 victory over Seria A side, Sampdoria, at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

Manchester United scored on either side of Sampdoria’s Dennis Praet strike to drop the curtain on their pre-season tour, ahead of the UEFA Super Cup game against Real Madrid next Tuesday.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was at the end of a swift counter attack from Manchester United to head home the opener in the 9th minute, after Sampdoria failed to convert an indirect free-kick inside United’s box.

Sampdoria pulled level on the hour mark, when Dennis Praet’s 20 yards effort bubbles through David DeGea, before Anthony Martial skillfully set up Juan Mata in the 80th minute to win it for United.

The victory means Jose Mourinho’s side completed their seven-match preseason campaign with five wins, a draw, and a defeat, as they for prepare their UEFA Cup season opener against Real Madrid.
