Solskjaer Comments On Ighalo Ahead of Europa League Tie Against Club Brugge

Manchester United boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer has heaped praises on his winter recruit Odion Ighalo ahead of a round of 16 Europa League faceoff with Club Brugge in Belgium.

30-year old Ighalo was a last-gasp January signing by Solskjaer from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua to cover in the interim for injured Marcus Rashford.

Solskjaer opines that the playing style of the ex-Nigerian international affords him the privilege of switching his tactical conveniently.

“Yeah sometimes I go with 5-3-2 but with Odion we can change our formation anytime” Solskjaer said in a pre-match press conference.

Ighalo will be travelling with United to Belgium on Thursday as the Red Devils take on Club Brugge in their Europa league round of 16 tie.

The striker may likely be allotted more playing time than he was given in his debut at Stamford Bridge where he came off the bench as a 91st minute substitute for Anthony Martial.
