Inter Milan have boosted their top four hopes in the Italian Serie A after they ended a 10-game winless run with a 2-1 win over 9-man Bologna at the San Siro on Sunday.
Brazilian-born Italian international Eder gave Inter Milan a 2nd minute lead that was cancelled out by former Nerazurri Rodrigo Palacio in the first half.
Yann Karamoh then justified his surprise start by producing the winning goal on 63 minutes with a stunning solo strike to end his side’s winless run which started on December 9.
Bologna finished the game with 9 men following the dismissal of Ibrahima Mbaye (two yellow cards) and Adam Masina.
AS Roma have also boosted their top four hopes following the 5-2 thrashing of basement club Benevento at home.
Strikes from Federico Fazio, Edin Dzeko, Cengiz Under (2) and a Gregorie Defrel penalty propelled the capital club to the crucial win while Benevento got their goals through Guilherme and Enrico Brignola.
