U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers: Nigeria Battle Guinea At Soccer Temple

Nigeria’s U-17 Women National Team will face Guinea at the Soccer Temple in their bid to qualify for the India 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The Flamingoes who were handed a bye in the preliminaries and will travel to Conakry for the first leg scheduled for March 1 before returning home to host their Guinean counterparts a fortnight after at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.

In other fixtures, Zambia take on South Africa, Liberia lock horns with Ghana while Botswana face Morocco.

Tanzania will square up against Uganda in the final round just as São Tomé and Príncipe compete against Cameroon.

The winners of the six qualifying ties will then progress to the third and final stage where the same two-legged, home-and-away format will be used to determine Africa’s three representatives at the 2020 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria has appeared at all editions of the Mundial since 2008 except for 2018 when it failed to pick a ticket to Uruguay.
