Olympique Lyon’s hopes of finishing in the top three on the French Ligue 1 table took a massive hit on Sunday night as they were beaten 2-0 by Stade Rennes at their Groupama Stadium in a Matchday 25 clash.

Wahbi Khazri and James Lea Siliki scored either side of the halftime interval to give the visitors an unlikely victory.

In the other games played on Sunday, Lille Metropole claimed a valuable point with a 2-2 draw at Nantes to boost their survival hopes while Racing Strasbourg see off Troyes 2-1 at home.
