Serie A Celebrates Osimhen’s Return From Injury

Organiser of the Italian top flight, Serie A, has celebrated Victor Osimhen’s return from injury.

Osimhen made his return in Napoli’s 2-1 away win against Atalanta in Saturday’s league game.

The Super Eagles striker was out for six weeks with a thigh strain.

He sustained the injury in last month’s international friendly match between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia in Portugal.

Following the injury, he missed the doubleheader against Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

After coming on in the second half, he then set up Eljif Elmas for Napoli’s winner.

When Osimhen was preparing to come on in the game, Serie A wrote on their X handle:“OSIMHEN’S BACK .”

Osimhen’s return will be good news to the Eagles coaching crew as attention will now focus on next year’s AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
