Former Ghanaian international Sulley Muntari has penned a short-term deal with Spanish La Liga strugglers Deportivo La Coruna.

Muntari, 33, has been without a club since leaving Italian side Pescara at the end of last season.

The former Portsmouth and Udinese midfielder has signed for the Spanish outfit until the end of the current season.

Deportivo La Coruna are presently second from bottom on the Spanish La Liga table and Muntari would be hoping he can use his wealth of experience to steer his new side clear of the dreaded relegation zone.
