Sergio Aguero To Miss Rest Of Season

Sergio Aguero will miss the rest of the season after confirming he damaged his knee in the game against Burnley on Monday.

The striker will now travel to Barcelona to see a knee specialist.

The Argentine appeared to have difficultly in his movements in the latter stages of the first half and was replaced at the start of the second half by Gabriel Jesus.

After the game which City won 5-0, manager Pep Guardiola confirmed Aguero’s injury didn’t look too good and the player has confirmed the prognosis on twitter.

The 32-year-old has scored 16 goals in 24 Premier League appearances for the Citizens this season and is now set to miss the potentially decisive games against Chelsea and Liverpool as the defending champions look to delay the Reds title procession.

He will also miss the Champions League last 16 return league against Real Madrid.
