Real Madrid, Not Barca Wanted To Sign Before 2014 World Cup –Suarez

Inter Miami striker, Luis Suarez, has revealed that Real Madrid were at the forefront of signing him before his infamous bite on Giorgio Chiellini during the 2014 World Cup saw Madrid.

Recall that the Uruguayan was in his prime after four great seasons at Liverpool, scoring 82 goals in 133 games. That scintillating form attracted a number of clubs in Europe, among them, Real Madrid and Barcelona

However, Suarez in an interview with DelSol, revealed how a late change of heart over his 2014 transfer resulted in Arsenal missing out on a deal for then Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema.
