Plateau United Are ‘Surmountable’ In Jos – Eguma (AUDIO)

AUDIO: We will Do Everything Possible To Defeat Enyimba – Eguma

Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma is optimistic his side can, against all odds, get a result in Jos against Plateau United in the Sunday’s Match Day 18 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash.

In eight home matches so far this season, Plateau United have won six, with two draws against Kano Pillars and Akwa United.

In a chat with www.busybuddiesng.com, Eguma admitted the match will be difficult, but remains confident of a favourable result against Abdu Maikaba’s side.

“It’s a big game, there is no doubt about it. Plateau United is one of the best teams so far in the league, and we have respect for them,” Eguma admitted. “Even though we want to topple in the log, we know it’s not going to be easy, but we are prepared seriously to ensure that we come back from Jos with some points.

“It is a very difficult task, but I know it is surmountable because I know Plateau United have dropped some points in the past. Having known that, it is possible that they could drop more points if we work very hard. We are not relenting, we are not giving up our hopes on that game, because we know that it is a game could change our position on the log if we get a good result.”

An unlikely win for Rivers United against Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday will send The Pride of Rivers to the top of the NPFL standings, provided leaders Lobi Stars lose to Jigawa Golden Stars in Kano
