Russell Wilson, who is an acclaimed professional football quarterback, hails from Cincinnati, OH but spent his formative years in Richmond, VA. He was raised in a nurturing household with both parents excelling in their respective fields as a lawyer and nursing director. His grandfather was a basketball player at KSU and his father a standout athlete who played football and baseball at Dartmouth College and was a wide receiver for the San Diego Chargers–Russell’s path to stardom as an athlete was seemingly predestined through his lineage.

In ’08, he began his college football journey at NC State. Russell’s athletic endeavors soon drew attention from the Colorado Rockies baseball team before ultimately committing to the Wisconsin Badgers football program in 2011.
