Europa: Leverkusen Stage Dramatic Comeback In Draw At Qarabag To Keep Unbeaten Run Alive

Bayer Leverkusen kept their unbeaten run alive after coming from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Qarabag in the Europa League round of 16 first leg on Thursday.

Nathan Tella was in action for Leverkusen and was replaced before the commencement of the second half.

The result means Leverkusen are unbeaten in 35 games in all competitions this season.

Leverkusen’s unbeaten run looked to have come to an end following first half goals from Yassine Benzia (26 minutes) and Juninho (45+2 minutes).

But Florian Wirtz pulled a goal back for Leverkusen on 70 minutes before Patrik Schick completed the comeback on 92 minutes.

Other results in the early kickoff saw Liverpool thrash Sparta Prague 5-1 away and Roma hammered Brighton 4-0 in Rome.
