Premier League Review: United Struggle In Brighton Win As Tottenham Falter In Title Race Again

Manchester United have closed the gap on league leaders and rivals Manchester City to five points despite struggling to a 1-0 win over Brighton at Old Trafford.

The only goal of the game came in the second half after Ashley Young’s shot deflected off Brighton defender Lewis Dunk to leave goalkeeper Matthew Ryan with no chance of saving it.

Tottenham have faltered again in the title race following their 1-1 draw with managerless West Brom at home. The stalemate represents the latest dent in the title race for Mauricio Pochettino’s side after last Saturday’s North London Derby (NLD) loss to Arsenal.

West Brom took a shock lead in the 4th minute before England international striker Harry Kane netted in the second half to prevent his side from suffering a second successive league defeat.

Matchday 13 Results (Saturday):

Tottenham 1-1 West Brom

Manchester United 1-0 Brighton
